A docile bird which becomes very friendly and is a superb layer, she lays mid brown eggs and makes an excellent first time keepers bird.

Fenning White

A spritely bird which is particularly active, doing well with a bit more space than other breeds. Despite her relatively small size she is a prolific layer of pure white eggs.

A good solid bird which is based on a Silver Sussex. She has a good temperament and lays pale brown eggs. A black bird with varying amounts of silver plumage running through the neck.

The Amber is created by producing the opposite cross to the Mendlesham Ranger, hence a white bird with some brown in her plumage. She is a very calm and friendly bird, lays lots of lovely brown eggs and makes an excellent first time keepers bird.

Based on the Black Copper Maran, this bird has been developed as a dark brown egg layer, she usually has grey legs and a bit of copper feathering around the neck.

A Rhode Island Red Hybrid which is a fantastic layer of good mid brown eggs. A solid bird which would fit into most flocks. There is a dark and a light brown version.

A good all round bird based on the Rhode Island Red and Barred Plymouth Rock. The feathers have a glossy sheen to them looking more green and blue than black.

This bird was developed from the Black Copper Maran to lay lovely dark brown shelled eggs. She may not lay quite as many eggs, but is a super looking hen and very well natured too.

This hen ranges in colour from white to mushroom, with a few being brown too. She lays blue/green/olive shelled eggs and is a good forager. They don't come up very often, but are a good choice.

Cute, friendly little birds with feathered legs and feet. Always popular, making good pets laying a fair few cream coloured eggs.
Japanese Bantams

A very upright bird with a tail which almost touches it's head. Very short legged, with dropped wings. This is one of the smallest Bantams available and can thrive in relatively small spaces.
Belgian Bantams

Being a true Bantam this is another small bird, they come in many colours and two main versions: The Belgian D'Anver (clean legged) and the Belgian D'Uccles (feather legged with muffs and beard)
Wyandotte Bantams

A beautiful but robust medium sized bantam. A reasonable layer of cream coloured eggs.
A great addition to your bantam flock.
Rhode Island Red Bantams

A traditional breed and one which most people would recognise. They are very hardy, stocky birds and good layers too.
With that beautiful mahogany plumage, they're a good looking bird with a friendly character.
Polands (Polish) & Padovana Bantams

Polands or Polish are heavily crested birds who have quite a character. They come in many colours and have white crests. They were not developed in Poland as some assume, but rather the Pol is the lump on the head from which the crest grows.
Padovanas are similar, but are bearded and the crests are the same colour as the body plumage. They were developed in Italy and have striking looks.
Brahma Bantams

A miniature version of the large Brahma. If you like Brahmas, but don't have the space for them, these are a good compromise.
We usually have Gold Partridge and Isabella colours.

Silkies have it all going on with their beautiful Silkie feathering, purple skin, a lovely crest and even an extra toe on each foot. Very popular, they come in several different colours.

Appenzellers

We just love these birds, they look like punk rockers with their rather mad 'hair style'. A very upright and alert bird.

Vorwerks

There is just something about the combination of the dark orange and black colouration of this birds' plumage. Another active bird, a reasonable layer too.

Araucanas

Araucana's are the original blue egg laying breed. These are pretty laid back birds with particularly dense and soft feathers. They have slight crests and muffs and are a good looking hen laying reasonable numbers of blue shelled eggs.
Buff Orpington

One of the most sort after chickens in the world. Always popular, but hard to find. She has a gentle nature and is a good looking bird.
We don't get these very often, so get them now while you can!
Large Brahmas

One of the largest chicken breeds and as such classed as 'heavy large'. These really are gentle giants with a laid back demeaner, tall posture with long (and feathered) legs. Always popular.
