A spritely bird which is particularly active, doing well with a bit more space than other breeds. Despite her relatively small size she is a prolific layer of pure white eggs.

Polands (Polish) & Padovana Bantams £38

Polands or Polish are heavily crested birds who have quite a character. They come in many colours and have white crests. They were not developed in Poland as some assume, but rather the Pol is the lump on the head from which the crest grows.
Padovanas are similar, but are bearded and the crests are the same colour as the body plumage. Frizzle versions £40

Araucana's are the original blue egg laying breed. These are pretty laid back birds with particularly dense and soft feathers. They have slight crests and muffs and are a good looking hen laying reasonable numbers of blue shelled eggs.

A lovely French breed which look unusual with their beard and muffs - some describe it as 'owl faced'. A stocky and hardy breed of a good size. Reasonable layers in season.
